(no subject)

I have been having such vivid dreams lately, but when I wake all I'm left with are a few tantalizing details and a memory that something amazing was going on in my head that I can't quite remember. Last night's detail was that our house was being sold -- by someone other than us -- and that "everything" was going to be taken care of and we'd get a check for whatever was left. I opened a letter with a Thank You card inside and a check for $3900, then stared stupidly at it as the realization dawned on me that we were going to have to move out and this was what we'd have to live on.

Disappointing to say the least. I hope very much that when the day comes for us to sell that we'll do better than that.

Memory is fallible anyway -- case in point, I picked up two DVDs for the kids of Kimba the White Lion because I remembered thinking the show was so cool when I was a kid. The best thing I can say about it is that the kids love it.

Seriously.
