Feb. 14th, 2008 08:43 pmMy culinary foray of the evening was homemade soda crackers. It's a very simple recipe, and perfectly delicious, but I didn't roll the dough nearly thin enough. They were more like flat biscuits than crackers. However, they were just what my homemade soup was wanting, and there are lots left for snacking.
In other news, it seems that if I want to remain competitive as a transcription contractor, I need to invest in transcription software and a foot pedal. It's not a huge sum, and it'll be a deduction when I file this year's taxes, so I guess I'll bite the bullet. If it makes a big difference in the time I spend on each file, I'm definitely going to raise my rates. It's not fair for the company to reap ALL the benefit from added efficiency.
Sadie's been dragging since about 10:00 this morning. She got into our bed last night ("I was lonely") so nobody got much sleep after that. Nevertheless, she is still insisting she's not tired and has been stubbornly keeping herself awake since I put her into bed over an hour ago.
It's probably hereditary; I'm almost as tired as she is but I'm not ready to think about going to bed yet.
