Sadie had to stay home from school today, even though she felt fine, because she hadn't been "fever free" for 24 hours. That's what I get for being too honest.

Today was "dress like your favorite character from literature" day at Danny's school He was Harry Potter. I was so proud!

Last night I had the most dreadful dream. I don't remember any of the details, just that I was DOING something very important. I woke up more exhausted than I had been when I went to sleep the night before. I hate that. Then I spent most of the morning trying to warm up. I drank so much tea that my eyeballs were floating, and my hands still felt like blocks of ice. A hot shower finally helped, but I'm still unreasonably tired.

Danny forgot his library book so I had to bring it to school for him. I got a minute to chat with his teacher, who I think is wonderful. She says he's been doing very well, but there are continuing issues with gathering his things up at the end of the day when it's time to go home. Apparently time management is not among his talents.

Wonder where he got THAT from.

The plan for this afternoon is library and karate for Danny. At least, that's my plan. Getting the kids on board is proving to be somewhat difficult.

The chicken I took out of the freezer last night is still frozen solid and I don't know what else to cook for dinner. Maybe I'll go to the grocery store while Danny's in class and see what I can find.

And last but not least, it seems Old Man Winter isn't quite ready to let go of New England yet. The forecast is calling for another 4 to 8 inches of snow overnight.

This concludes my disjointed rambling for the afternoon.
