My desk is right near the crayfish tank, and sometimes I can hear it scrabbling around, digging in the gravel. This morning it molted, so now there's a ghostly looking shell on the bottom of the tank that I keep catching out the corner of my eye. A few minutes ago, though, I happened to glance over and see the crayfish on its back.

The last time I saw a crayfish on its back, it was dead an hour later, so naturally I panicked. When I took off the tank cover, though, its legs moved... so I got a stick and gently helped it turn over onto its belly.

I'm still not convinced it won't be dead by the end of the day, but maybe it'll be okay.
