Nov. 26th, 2008 06:34 pmI love my kids. I really do. But the constant chatter drives me CRAZY. Even when they're doing "quiet" things like reading or watching a movie or playing on the computer, they're still. Talking. NON. STOP.
And really? some of it is just inane demands for attention. Asking me questions they know the answers to. Asking me rhetorical questions and then telling me how to answer them. And worse yet, the jokes. I like a good joke as much as the next person, but even the brightest elementary school kids (and mine are pretty damned smart) have at best a tenuous grasp on the finer points of puns. When it comes to that, there may not in fact BE finer points to puns -- but at the very least they should make you groan rather than scratch your head in confusion.
And of course sometimes they're just fighting.
At the moment, though, just because I sat down to blog about how insane they make me? they're both being perfect angels.
Did I mention I love my kids?
