Dec. 13th, 2011 04:20 pmSo the mechanic called, and I did actually cry a little bit. But only a little bit. There's not much point to getting worked up about it. I need a car, I have credit. The problem of how to repay it can be dealt with properly after the holidays, when I will attempt to re-enter the part-time outside-the-house job market while still keeping my work-from-home job as long as humanly possible.
Yes, my original plan was to squeak through the holidays only spending money we actually had. On to Plan B.
If I can find something part-time that has health benefits, we can drop the expensive plan through Jon's employer and he'll take home an extra $200 per week in his check. That would make a BIG difference in getting us back on track, and well worth any exhaustion on my part.
Besides, in a couple weeks the nights will begin to get shorter again.
I can do this.
