mereilinSadie felt well enough to go back to school today. Lucky thing -- today was her turn to be Star of the Day! I decided not to push it by taking the kids to karate this afternoon. Anyway, dinner cooked much more quickly than I expected it to in the crock pot, so I don't want to leave it overcooking until 6:00 or later.
I tried a simple recipe for homemade tomato sauce and was very pleased with the results. I mixed it with elbow macaroni and browned ground turkey to make a casserole; I hope the kids like it. I think I overdid it on the garlic a bit.
Thanks to all of you who commented that you hoped Sadie felt better (and to those who thought it but didn't end up commenting -- yes, the thought counts even if we didn't know about it)!
