My day started with a bang today.

mereilinA series of vivid dreams was interrupted when a young man stepped up to the driver's window of the car I was sitting in with my husband and opened fire. Three shots, point blank. No blood, no consequence; I just woke up.
Before that, I was trapped on an upper floor of a hotel by a flood of water that completely filled the floor below and bubbled up the elevator shafts. Before that some creepy older guy was hitting on me while ANOTHER creepy guy was hitting on my son. And all of this was after the noisy text message on my cell phone at 5:35 a.m. to alert us that school would be closed today.
This was one day I was really glad to wake up, in spite of the three inches of snow crusted with a half-inch slick of ice waiting to be cleared out of the driveway.
