Danny woke up this morning with blood on his pillow; I thought he'd had a nosebleed until I went to take his temperature and discovered that his left ear was caked in blood. This, combined with his vague comment from yesterday that his ear "felt weird," convinced me that it was probably time to take him to see the doctor.

Turns out he has infections in both ears, and the pressure in the left had perforated his eardrum. The poor kid; what a way to spend vacation week! He's starting on amoxycillin today and should be feeling much better by the weekend -- just in time to go back to school on Monday.
