Feb. 27th, 2008 02:11 pmMy schedule is suddenly bursting with appointments, and most of them are Places The Kids Need To Go. I'm generally very bad at time management, so I'm feeling ever so slightly overwhelmed as I look at the mass of pencil scribblings.
There's karate twice a week, and ballet on Monday for Danny and Wednesday for Sadie with the recent temporary addition of dance rehearsals on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons for Danny. Thank goodness the performance is only 2 weeks away; last night we didn't get home from rehearsal until 7:00 and there was still dinner to eat, homework to finish, and baths to be taken. It was close to 10:00 before the kids went to bed, but to tell the truth that's about the time they fall asleep when I give them dinner at 6:00 and baths at 7:30 so we might as well do things. It's kind of nice to have them pass out as soon as they get in bed instead of of bounce off the walls for an hour and a half.
Baseball starts up on Saturday and I have NO IDEA what's going to be involved because it's Danny's first year playing. Hence writing out the schedule in pencil -- I have a strong suspicion that a lot of things are going to have to shuffle around once baseball gets going. I almost hope it interferes with Sadie's Wednesday ballet class. Every week we argue about whether she's going and the truth is I'd much rather not drive the 25- mile round trip with her whining the whole way (this is why we've only been once since classes resumed after December break). We'll see how she does today.
In the meantime, it looks like there's just time to squeeze in a hot shower so I'm going to grab it.
