Hanna Barbera hit a record low, in my humble opinion, when Scrappy Dappy Doo hit the airwaves. And now the Boomerang Network has crowned Scrappy "Boomeroyalty," which means there's a MARATHON. The kids love it. I don't know how much more I can stand.

Also, I thought clementines were seedless. This one is more seed than fruit -- FOUR seeds per segment?

The house is looking a bit better than usual but still not quite "company ready" -- I suppose a babysitter doesn't really count as "company" after all. Tonight is the annual ballet company cast party, and the one night all year that my husband and I really plan to stay out all night and drink and eat whatever strikes our fancy. The party officially begins at 8:00 but the best part of it is always after midnight, and there were many times -- before we had kids -- that we'd stay through the next evening. Now we plan to get home before dawn.

I should start on the dish I'm bringing, which means I should finish cleaning the kitchen. For something I've been looking forward to for months, my lack of motivation is somewhat curious.
