Dec. 15th, 2013 01:20 pmWe had some snow. The new-to-us snow blower isn't perfect, but it did the job. After spending half an hour outside with the shovels, I woke up the 14-year-old and suggested he try out his new grown-up sized body by helping his dad finish the job. To my great delight, he was downstairs and dressed within half an hour, and worked really hard out there.
Of course they were two hours late for the theater call, but still there two hours before the curtain, which is plenty of time. I need to go back over there at 3:00 because I'm supposed to dance in the evening show. I'm sure by then the roads will be much better; they weren't actually that bad this morning, but we did get stuck driving 15 miles an hour on the highway behind a fleet of plows that had every lane blocked.
We also remembered when we got home that I hadn't brought my house keys. The rental car keys are kind of a separate entity, so I didn't think of it. Jon was the last one out; he locked up the house and kept his keys. Fortunately, we had given a spare key to our neighbors, and we were able to retrieve it and let ourselves in.
Yee-haw, y'all.
