Jan. 11th, 2008 12:10 amI drove 60 miles and kept the kids out past their bedtime. I ignored nagging cold symptoms which have since gotten worse. The director arrived 30 minutes late for the audition and contrary to the notice there was no accompanist. The audition application consisted of a half sheet of paper asking only for contact information -- nothing about prior experience, desired roles or even availability.
However, it was very cute to hear Danny quietly singing the children's chorus to Any Dream Will Do while the only man who auditioned was singing it. Both kids did great and I think they had a pretty good time.
For all of that, though, I'm fully expecting that the promised call on Sunday evening will be nothing more than regretful notice that they didn't have enough people to cast the show.
