I'm getting too old for this.

The Nutcracker party was really nice. We were a bit late in arriving, and there was a truly overwhelming number of people at the house. I'm not the most social person by nature, but I found myself actually disappointed that I wasn't able to spend time with all the people that I wanted to.

Then we ended up staying until basically dawn, and I think I broke a tooth on a pistachio in what had been a very good salad up until that moment. Ouch.

I got outside a bit with the kids today which is good because I think this is probably the last warmish day we'll see until April. (Hey, if you expect the worst at least you can sometimes be pleasantly surprised?)

The high point was definitely the impromptu drunken a cappella rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

The low point was dragging ourselves home and trying to function all day.
