I have lately been trying to remind myself that sometimes things just don't go the way you hoped or planned and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

So far this hasn't made me feel a lot better, but it's probably better than obsessively focusing on all the stuff that's going wrong lately.

In other news, the baseball question may be moot because it's going to rain all week and Danny spiked a fever of 103 last night.

Daniel's fever continues, so he is at this moment missing the last practice of the season. Tomorrow he's staying home. Again. I don't know if he'll feel well enough to play a game tomorrow night but it's not looking likely.

I left a pleasant message on the coach's cell phone to let him know Daniel wasn't feeling well and wouldn't be at practice.

He hasn't responded to my email.

This needs to stop consuming my life.
