Today we managed to find all of the library materials that were due today (considering how many things we borrowed, this was quite an accomplishment) and return them on time. Danny promptly chose about 15 more books and three video recordings. Sadie chose six books and two video recordings. We were out of the library in a record 20 minutes and arrived a few minutes early for Danny's karate class.

Dinner was pizza from Papa Ginos, which we haven't done in a long time and frankly will probably not do for a long time after this since the meal was rather disappointing on the whole.

I still need to get the rest of the house looking as nice as the kids' rooms.

Sadie is still getting random itchy rashes. The good news is that Benadryl does seem to have a sleep-inducing effect on her.

I borrowed an old Shirley Temple movie from the library and put it on to watch with the kids this evening and ended up having to explain blackface and minstrel shows to Danny. Ouch.

This place is still a bit of a chaotic mess, but today was a pretty satisfying day. I got both jobs finished and submitted on time. I had a lovely hot shower and washed my hair. I sat and read books with Sadie.

I guess things are looking up.
