I am completely mystified as to how it could be PELTING rain outside when the thermometer on the back porch can't seem to creep above 25°F. I can't even go shovel out the van because it's not possible to manage a snow shovel and an umbrella simultaneously and I definitely do not want to be soaked through when it's below freezing outside.
