I don't know how old or of what value your van is, but there comes a point where the cost of repairs to keep and/or return it to the road becomes more than should be spent.
Don't get me wrong, I have had a lot of old vehicles, but my philosophy was always to run them as long as possible without doing the costly repairs.
Hmmm, that may be why all my vehicles go to the scrap yard when I'm finished instead of the used car lot.......
Sadly, a car payment (and the accompanying increase to our insurance premium) is definitely NOT something we can add to our monthly budget and I'm all done with the crappy cars that $2500 buys outright.
