Not losing my mind

Well, maybe I am. Buit at least the mystery of the ringing has been solved. It's not in my head after all! And it's not really a ringing either; there is a crew fixing the road oine block over and the backup signal beep from one of the trucks is just about the same pitch and interval as my [former] cell ring. So I guess my brain is turning a beep into a ring, but it's nice to know there's an actual external stimulus and I'm not just imagining that I'm wildly popular all of a sudden!

I was going to comment on that yesterday, but I guess I didn't. I remember a time when there was construction going on and I kept hearing a ringing.. and it was the same sound you heard. Doesn't that annoy the heck out of you?
