mereilinLast night I discovered that I actually can speak some Japanese, damn it.
日本語を話せます。話せるよ！
As long as I can talk about things that are covered by the (excuse me but rather extensive) vocabulary I've already studied, and I can use simple verb forms, I can say things that Japanese people understand.
I can say things. In Japanese. That Japanese people can understand.
The things I say aren't always correct, but just getting them out of my mouth is a HUGE step in the right direction.
